Well, I got it.My buddy made me one heck of a deal. To me it looks More like a short version of a full size M14, then a scout or a Socom 16.

I owned a Socom 16 about twenty years ago. Reminded me of a short M-1A. 7.62 X 51 MM. Think it came with a five round mag. Bought a couple of twenty rounders. All the mags and the carbine functioned flawlessly. Fun to shoot. If I’m remembering right, mine had a 16” barrel.

I guess if a short “gun”is what you have then you have to like it. But I wouldn’t be telling everyone. I like my long one… Just kidding. Nice looking rifle and wood is better to look at than plastic.
