A battle rifle clone that won’t eat chi-com or Rooskie ammo seems like an epic failI think (could be wrong ) that Springfield Armory said not to run any off-shore ammo in their rifles.

Putting cheap ammo in a nice rifle is a bigger fail.A battle rifle clone that won’t eat chi-com or Rooskie ammo seems like an epic fail

Just glad I applied myself where I don’t have to buy cheap beer or cheap ammo. Your mileage may vary. It’s a battle rifle clone. It’s not a “nice” rifle - just an expensive one, but what’s not nowadays. It should eat just about anything - same as an AR-10 or G3, FAL etc. - If it doesn’t, then it’s just a wall hanger. You shouldn’t have to coddle these things with 1.50/round ammo
Granted, this is a unique experience as my last M1A (but full length model) would run on anything, so may be just an issue with this particular rifle - but in the unlikely event someone offered me a DSA Stg58 in a straight up trade, I’td would be gone
