I believe the real threat was that if Obama doesn't win, she'll keep dressing like a $2 whore until she's 80.

Worse, she said she'd strip: "When Obama is in the White House for a second term I'll take it all off." Nope. Definitely nope.

Say what you want about Madonna, she is an awesome businesswoman. She has managed to stay on top in a business that values youth and "next big thing." You won't see her playing at your local casino unlike many top rated acts of the past. I admire her business savvy. As for her comments, who cares? She has a right to her opinion.

What the hell does this mean? I've seen you join me in shouting down posters on this board for calling Obama a Muslim, so why should Madonna get a pass? The ***** is waterheaded. It didn't sound like irony to me; she's not that witty and satire didn't follow the rest of her banal ramblings.

RE: the industry valuing youth and the next big thing, that's less true today than it ever has been. There hasn't been a major revolution/focus on future in popular music since the Seattle scene and indie label explosion of the early 90's. Nostalgia sells better now than it ever has. It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia. For chrissakes hologram Tupac played Coachella this year. When Thom Yorke conks out hologram Radiohead will do an arena tour for hip kids that were still in diapers when Kid A came out.

Really the people who think Obama is a Muslim are only a little dumber than the people who think he's a Christian and not a non-religious dude who has to say he's a Christian because this country will never in imaginary hell let an admitted atheist (or anyone but a self-proclaimed Christian for that matter) get close to the whitehouse. That's right, the godless, secular, war-on-religion raging left will never support a non-Christian. Hell it might be 40-80 years before the godless left would consider voting for a democratic Jew over a republican gentile.
