What the hell does this mean? I've seen you join me in shouting down posters on this board for calling Obama a Muslim, so why should Madonna get a pass? The ***** is waterheaded. It didn't sound like irony to me; she's not that witty and satire didn't follow the rest of her banal ramblings.

RE: the industry valuing youth and the next big thing, that's less true today than it ever has been. There hasn't been a major revolution/focus on future in popular music since the Seattle scene and indie label explosion of the early 90's. Nostalgia sells better now than it ever has. It isn't necessary to imagine the world ending in fire or ice. There are two other possibilities: one is paperwork, and the other is nostalgia. For chrissakes hologram Tupac played Coachella this year. When Thom Yorke conks out hologram Radiohead will do an arena tour for hip kids that were still in diapers when Kid A came out.

I do not care what religion any of them are, but I find it really amusing in a sad way how many of you jump on someone for calling him a Muslim but you have no problem attacking a candidate for his religious beliefs. Seems like kind of a double standard to me.

Say what you want about Madonna, she is an awesome businesswoman. She has managed to stay on top in a business that values youth and "next big thing." You won't see her playing at your local casino unlike many top rated acts of the past. I admire her business savvy. As for her comments, who cares? She has a right to her opinion.

Oh puhleeze. Great business woman? What you do actually takes some intellectual capacity. Her business model is nothing more than shaking her once upon a time nice ass & rack and saying/doing outlandish things to garner attention.
