Mauser 96 low scope safety

Picked up nice Swede sporter a few weeks back from a forum member. It has the original military safety so it interferes with the scope. I see there are a few options for safeties on converted Mausers. Can anyone recommend one over another? Timney has one, Dayton, etc. I'm pretty sure I can fit and install it myself.

I have a sporterized 96 that I set up for my son to hunt with. I went with the Bold Optima Trigger w/ Thumb Saftey and it's worked really well.

Use the Timney! The D/T is a piece of junk.

I have a timney and can't find fault with it. I haven't ever used another. The other option is to replace the trigger with a timney model with a Rem 700 style safety on the trigger and either leave the bolt mounted safety on fire or replace the bolt shroud.
