This sounds fun. I am thinking about attending my first Steel Challenge match in McLoud this Sunday.

Can one shoot the Rimfire (iron sighted) category with a double action revolver? I have an itch to exercise my 10-shot S&W 617.

Tall Prairie, you sure can use a double action rimfire. You have to use a six shooter though. 10 shots are for cheaters.

Not really. I use an old model 17 and sometimes wish for a few extra shots but then if you need more than 6 you're not really "competitive".

Bring the .22 and have some fun!! Sure is cheaper than a .45

I need more details on this. Everybody is speaking of rimfire. Is it strictly rimfire? Handguns and rifles?
