Met him out at the Whittington <sp?> Center in New Mexico in the early 80s I think. We were shooting old Sharps rifles. He was fairly new in the writing business but was knowledgeable and friendly.
Enjoyed reading his reloading articles probably the most.

I met him at Whittington at a Black Powder cartridge rifle event too. Heck of a nice guy..
We might have been there the same day.
