my wife is in her 9th month of pregnancy (3 weeks-ish to go) so i cant venture *too* far from the house (black kettle next year for sure) so i went down to slaughterville to see if i can find any turkeys.

no turkeys, but i did find these mountain lion tracks, pretty fresh possibly less than 24hrs. measured 27'' between a front & rear paw stride on a couple of them, must have been in mid run.

there looked to be two distinct sets, one adult, one juvenile - most visible in the video.

photos taken this friday, if you're out there walking around check your six now & then.

they were about 4 inches across, bobcat is about 1-5''. even the juvie track was about 2.5'' wide. tear drop shaped toes too. most were about the width of the palm of my hand, one of them the toes seemed spread out a bit more, was wider than the front of my boot.
