The Searchers, the classic western with John Wayne, directed by John Ford.
The Grapes of Wrath, another visually stunning John Ford picture, with cinematography by Gregg Toland.
Casablanca. Bogart and Bergman and "As time goes by".
The Blues Brothers.
Some great music and the best car chase scenes ever filmed, save for Bullitt.

The French Connection has the absolute hairiest car chase in NYC that was real, OK real in a sense. They planned a lot of it and used off duty NYPD officers to stop traffic. They did not get the necessary permits and they did keep going through areas that were not controlled and did hit a guy's car that was not scripted. He had just left for work and got creamed and a new car. They left it in the film.

He was a member of The Sons of the Pioneers with Roy Rogers.
Yep--he was singing with the Sons of the Pioneers in Rio Grande. He also sang with Tommy Dorsey. It's just weird to think of that gravelly-voiced old scudder Festus singing at all, let alone like he did with the Sons of the Pioneers.

I heard another version of this story (I think it might've been on Mike Rowe's The Way I Heard It podcast), but here it is from the horse's mouth.

He was also in a Have Gun Will Travel episode that played a Festus type that sang great.
