Is the M&P 15/22 with the threaded flash suppressor threaded for a can or do you need a thread adaptor?
It should be threaded 1/2-28 and you should be good to go for pretty much any .22lr can.

One issue you might run into is the thread length. I know that on a Gemtech Outback II they specify the maximum length of the thread as .400". Any longer and you have part of the threaded portion sticking into the blast chamber. Not a really big deal, but if you shoot it a lot the threads that are in the blast chamber could get so gunked up that you cannot unscrew the can. If the threaded portion is really long, you may run the barrel right up against the blast baffle. Does anyone know the thread length on an M&P15-22?
