Rookie questions here, having never indulged in MRE's....in our shelter, or house, when outages/storms/etc. occur...suggestions for "short term" rations (short term being maybe up to 14 days or so...)
MRE's?
Preserved Freeze Dried stuff?
Other "packages" to feed the two of us, and provide water/nourishment....
Any opinions/suggestions, please.... I have lots of "options", but can already see that we can spend a PILE of money and have it be nearly completely a WASTE.

Any help??

For just 14 days use it would be cheaper and better to just keep a stock of your favorite canned goods on hand unless you plan to leave your home. Then MREs might be better because of lighter weight. If going with canned goods, pick things you normally eat and just build up a 2 week stock. Uses less water then trying to rehydrate freeze dried or MREs too.

Underground shelter I would use some freeze dried as long as you had storage for the water too. Otherwise I would keep canned goods in the house and rotate the stock.
