Pretty funny for a Dendrologist who plays with guns.............

Hey, I didn't think Yeller was a dentist! I thought he was a gunsmith. :thumbup3:

You guys and your fancy words. :punch:
VERY nice grips.
Now you need a laser engraver.

Oiy... I shudder to think of how much that would cost... :) I was thinking about making myself some sort of branding iron, similar to a wood burning kit.

Two more sets from today's woodfest... since everybody liked the Asian Satinwood so much, I made two more sets today. This is them with the first two coats (of 8 or 9) of Tung Oil. One set is a standard jeweled set with cutout for MSH pin, the other set is cut with a flat bottom for a magwell.

Anybody have any requests?

Enjoy! :)

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted some wood porn for you all... try not to hammer me too bad for these ones....

These are a custom set for a gentleman in Texas (imagine that!)... but rest assured... Oklahoma State grips are on the horizon! Hard to tell on my black gun, but the borders are burned black. Wood is Paduke.

If you can do a set of these for my 3" J-frame, let me know, or better yet a square butt K-frame.

I was hoping you or GED would come in here. I'm willing to give it a shot.
:thumbup3:
you probably got people :hithead:"bugn the piss out of you":chat: when you can make grips that look as good as you do but...do these hold up very well and are you able to make them for anything else or just the 1911???:anyone:
Man, they hold up great. If you ever make it to a match I'm at (Steel Challenge tomorrow at USSA), you can check out my test set (which will be on my gun). I have about 700 rounds through them right now, and will add about 150 tomorrow.
