So whats it going to take for the GOP to get back into 1600 Penn?

Honestly I think they way of the old white guy is over and has been for awhile. Rubio 2016 might be their best chance next go around. I dont know enough about him to say if he is good or not, but if the GOP wants to win south Florida and the inner cities of Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc a white guy wont cut it.

on a side note, Im proud Tulsa county citizens strongly opposed Vision 2 and all the bloated pork that it was.

A complete overhaul of the GOP platform, but they're too stupid for that. Theirs is the way of irrelevance. :(

What will it take? Economic collapse, astronomical energy costs, food shortages, etc. And it's coming.

Another 4 years of illegal immigration and the fraudulent voter registration that it will bring, along with the folks accepting the promise of free phones, food stamps, disability after their unemployment runs out and "free" health care in return for their vote, all this will guarantee the dims have a lock on the White House from here on out. If the GOP offers more free goodies they will win and that is the only way they will win. Last night proved that honesty, integrity and transparency don't matter. The people that it does matter to are in the minority. We are officially a socialist/communist country now. We know how that works out so if you want a picture of what it looks like just look at Greece and Spain. That's where we are going, mark it down.

If the GOP wants to win, they will become more moderate. They will soften their stance on social issues to reflect the views of a changeing America. Move away from Grover Norquist, Distance themselves from the Tea Party. They will reign in the radical evangelicals.

If the GOP wants to win, they should find a way to make the Healthcare Act work, keep Social Security as is. Become a defender of the environment. Move away from defending huge Corporations and big business. Make business move back home, or tax them into oblivion.

Govern from the center, become more moderate, get rid of some of the old guard.

Lastly, nominate Marco Rubio.

Not the Old Guard really. The Tea Partiers are younger in general.

You're right that the GOP needs to become more moderate. If they learned anything from the Ron Paul craze, it should have been that younger Republicans are still fiscally conservative but tend to be very socially liberal. The base that they're trying to reach is dying off.
