it might have contributed. It might not have. Let’s not pretend we truly know what it was about.
But for clarity’s sake, I think we should nuke Mecca and Medina since the corpus of Islamic eschatological frameworks have no support for such a reality as losing the ability to conduct hajj nor the loss of their holy sites in perpetuity.
