HELLO EVERYONE!!!
I am the swim director for the RedMan Triathlon that is at Lake Hefner Saturday. Because of the low water, the OHP, Lake Patrol, OKC PD and the OKC Fire Department have pulled their boats from their list of available volunteer equipment.
I need a boat that can be lifted (with several men) and placed into the water for emergency purposes only. The last thing I want is to have a swimmer need emergency medical assistance and have no way to get the swimmer from the water to the shore.
I will have about 45 kayaks on the water but they are not good for pulling an injured swimmer a mile to shore.
A rubber dingy with a motor
A john boat with a motor
Anything with a motor will work.
Jet Skis would also work.
The race is Saturday at 7:15 am.
I will be at Lake Hefner getting the course ready from now till Saturday morning.
