The Navy's P-8 is a 737 ASW mod.I've always wondered why Boeing didn't design their 737's with an 'exchangeable belly'......from passenger carry to bomber within a day or so. Doesn't seem like that would be hard to do.

Not disputing it being an impressive collection, but it sounds like those contracts for private air forces may be disappearing.Yeah it's old, but dang, that a heck of a collection. Apparently he supports it with government contracts which are typically lucrative.
He can probably contract out to a country other than the US.Not disputing it being an impressive collection, but it sounds like those contracts for private air forces may be disappearing.
Yep, I'm sure there are some third world countries that can't afford to buy new aircraft that want to take out their neighbors. That's a hornets nest!

The -135 isn’t a 737. It’s a smaller cousin of the 707 design.? The P-8 is a modified 737 with Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities. Most of our planes are based of something else. E-3 and E-6 are modded 707's. The 135 tanker is a 737.
Far cry from being able to just swap modules and switch from a passenger to a bomber.
