I need to speak with a lawyer about overtime issues with an "exempt" or executive level employee.

I understand that, on its face, there is no overtime, but I have run into a very unique (I believe, of course) situation.

I am hoping for a referral from someone who has had a previous issue. I just need to get some questions answered and would like to avoid spending money on a handful of guys who will give me the run around before I find the one really solid guy (or lady, for that matter) who can help/provide answers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for any time and attention spent on this matter.

so I was thinking about this myself. If you're counted exempt, how many hours are you expected to work a week? Is it still based on a 40 hr week? So if you're consistintly working a 50-60hr week is that illegal?

Exactly, only in this case it is even more...

For those that have posted, thank you. I will pass the info on and hope it helps.
