I bought some 220 grain Nosler on sale and have considered buying 220 SMK's. The problem I am having is finding any reloading data for this bullet. I have looked through several manuals and have not found it any them. Does anyone know what the ranges are for Varget or IMR 4064 with this bullet? Thanks,

I really appreciate that. That is what I was looking for. Thanks for the IMR info, at least that gives me a starting point. Thanks Aviator41!

Man I am missing something. What round are you loading for? .308 caliber bullets are used in several chamberings. I see one reply that says a Hodgon powder has loads using a 220 grain .308 in a 7.62x54R, .30-06, .325WSM ???? And a .35 Whelen ????? This has to be in error.

Next you are given a weight range of powder to try with a 220 grain bullet, but not once have I seen what chambering you are seeking advice in. .308 Win will have a different range then .30-06, or .300Win for example.

He doesn't say 220 grain 30 caliber bullets. he mentions .308 specifically as in 308 Winchester, or 7.62x51, .308 appears to be the chambering.

In general, all boxes of 30 cal bullets I have seen specify .308 on the box. This does not limit them to only the .308 Win.

However, you also state that he mentions .308 specifically and you mention Hodgdon powder lists loads for .35 Whelen and 325 WSM using that powder and bullet combo.

Then you say don't blow that gun up!

I made the assumption that he's asking for 308 winchester load data as asking for load data based solely on bullet weight makes no sense.

OP: If you're not asking for load data for the 308 winchester round, disregard my post.
