Got on the roof today like a dumb*ss, pretty damn windy and cold. Ran an electrical pull 'snake' down the vent until it hit bottom and pushed it further through the connection, several times.
I pulled it back up and it was clean as when I snaked it down there. I don't think the vent is the issue.
*Back to this later.....

Seeing too many comments pointing at the disposal, which I replaced several months ago (3rd one over the years). Not sure how it is the issue but running out of culprits. I've been in this house 30 years with a disposal and haven't had this issue previously. I pulled that trap again today and fingered around up into the disposal with nothing coming out, re-attached and back to continued gurgling.

I understand that a drain needs a vent, air helps things drain, which is why I'm a bit confused looking under my sink.. My sink is not on an island but is out on an island with no wall around it to run a vent stack. There is no vent under the sink, just a clean out. House was built this way. The closest vent is a sink in the garage, which is what I snaked.

Where to place an air induction valve/air admittance valve - if a resolution?

I’ve had a plumber tell me that for islands and difficult to vent areas he uses 3” because it is “self venting” and will work properly for the amount of flow a sink puts out.

You could still see about a one way valve on the top of your stack if it’s an issue. But your space looks limited to add a valve on top

If that is 3 inch pipe yes it is self venting with the correct flow as was mentioned. My next guess would be a obstruction in the line close enough to back up the water( fill the pipe ) and not let it drain properly. But still drain enough not to over flow. Snake the 3in with a larger head. A small snake will or can put a small hole through an obstruction and not drain correctly. The 3 inch pipe fills and drains slow and sucks"gurgle" air till it gets to the next vent . Septic or city?
