I had a new one in 1978. I liked it. 351 Modified engine. I added headers, mags and off road tires. Other than that, it was stock. Four on the floor and you had to get out and manually lock in the 4X4 hubs. I sold it in the mid 80s and always wished I had kept it. Hindsight, and all.

My neighbor's Bronco was delivered about two months ago. Since then she has taken a couple of Bronco schools where they learn how to use all the 4X4, wheel locking, etc on a intense terrain course (using rental broncos).
Consumer Reports really likes the Bronco Sport. Unusual for them to like anything Ford.
It will never be a replacement for my two 66' and 71'. I suppose everyone does have their selling price though.
I hate these with a passion. Although I suspect my hate is largely based on my inability to buy one, that they are selling way over sticker, and that people are buying them way over sticker
