First of all, thank you so much for your service! My late uncle worked at Tinker as a civilian engineer for the A-7 project in the 60's and 70's. I always wondered why a naval element at Tinker.

rake- the answer is a politician made a promise to a senator from oklahoma- then when the relocated squadrons VQ3 and VQ4 ( from maryland/Hawaii)- they colocated them here..
