I'm looking for a new shoulder rig. I've only had on that was worth a crap. I was wondering if you gents could give me some insight to what has worked best for you, or atleast your opinions of the best. Kydex, leather, nylon? Vertical, Horizontal? Thanks in advance.

This or the Galco Jackass - I think one of our members used parts from both and made the best shoulder rig he'd ever had.

I would suggest that you BORROW one from somebody and wear it for a week or so.

It may not take that long. I've known guys who paid a hundred and sumthin' bucks for one, only to hate it after the first 10 minutes of wearing it.

Save yerself some moolah and test drive one before you drop a C note.

+1 for the Galco Miami Classic or the more comfortable (but slightly less concealable) SSII. I didn't care for the carry angle of the Jackass rig personally. Anything less than the Galco is wasted $$$

To me, the shoulder rig is a specialized piece of equipment and has limited circumstances where it offers any advantage. I got rid of mine many years ago and I've never looked back.
