nikon monarch 4-16 mil dot

I'm looking for a scope and the nikon monarch caught my eye, anyone have one of these. It will go on a REM 700 vsf 308 max distance I have to shoot is 700 yds. I really only want to spend around 500.00

Nikon monarch is a great scope. I have one on my savage 308. Clear vision and wide view. Bought it from academy in okc for about 200.

What are you shooting at?
Monarch glass is very very good for any price, however some models have limited adjustment travel and reticles that are too fat or busy for any serious mid/long-range work.
