I have come to the conclusion that the BT's need to be running fairly fast to always perform as designed. I have been reloading them ever since they came on the market. The first versions seemed to have thinner jackets, so Nosler redesigned them from what I understand for their hunting bullet version vs the varmit bullet.
I do like how they release all the kinetic energy into the animal, rarely do I have a full pass thru, usually I find what is left of the bullet just under the skin on the opposite side.

How accurate do the bts shoot for you guys? Every other bullet I've tryed in my rifle shot a lot better than the bt.
I liked how the 140 preformed on game, it would shot into a 1 1/2"

I used 140's for my 7mmMag, 130's for my wifes 270, and 150's for 30-06 and 308. All that I have loaded shoot sub-moa from all my rifles. I tend to load on the high side of the scale on all my loads so they are zipping along pretty good.

.300Blkout at 30y. 125gr NBT at 2000fps. First pic is entry, just behind front shoulder, exit hole was 2" across, have a pic of it as well but it's messy. She ran 40y, blood trail was extreme.

The BT's have worked for me out of a .270. Colorado mulies acted like they had been pole axed. None were over 100 yards tho. I don't recall a bullet exiting. I have been hunting with a 45/70 the past few years so I have no recent experience with ballistic tips.
