This is about what I would expect from a moderator on this site. A thread from the beginning that has been a series of attacks, which devolved into personal attacks, to include from a moderator, another moderator jumps in well after the attacks in the thread died and decided to keep it going instead of ending it, which would be the correct thing to do.
