I saw a lady make that same argument. Basically they've been knife fighting forever, no reason to shoot someone over it.

Based on the bodycam footage, officer should have stood back for a minute or two instead of engaging immediately into a situation that was a massive cluster****. Maybe once people started getting stabbed, then stepping in and shooting would have appeared more justified to bystanders.

What's the cop to do, call the precinct and ask what to do? Stand back and let her stab someone? Shoot her in the leg? No, too much criticism for being a violent cop. Do not respond to calls asking for assistance or help in "risky" areas? Or simply resign and go into another vocation which is safer which more officers are doing in recent months. No matter what a cop does, he or she will be wrong and it's a lottery win for someone.
