All plays are reviewed upstairs, but there was nothing to overturn. He went to the ground in the process of making the catch, and the ball ended up on the ground between his legs. It was, straight up, an incomplete pass.

Wrong. He had possession as his butt hit the turf, ball came out shortly after. Therefore, down by contact. As an aside, the catch in the back of the endzone by OU (before the kicker's TD) was also a TD; his feet were down, ball in receiver's possession. As I said earlier, worst officiating by far I've seen all year. Both sides got screwed repeatedly.

You need to refresh yourself on the rules. He went to the ground in the process of making the catch, and the ball came loose. That is an incomplete pass in the NCAA and NFL, and has been for over five years; what part of his anatomy hit is irrelevant.

Wrong again. He had possession of the ball as his butt hit the turf - and a player's *** hitting the ground has been used many times to determine if he is down. An OU player was in contact with him as he hit the ground, while still I possession of the ball. Down by contact. Elbows, knees, and ***** have been used for years to determine it.

Downing the player with possession of the ball is one way to end a play (other ways include the player with the ball going out of bounds, an incomplete pass, or a score). Usually a player is made down when he is tackled by the defense. In the NFL, if the offensive player is touching the ground with some part of his body other than his hands or feet, then he is down if any defensive player touches him. In the NCAA, an offensive player touching the ground in the same manner is down, regardless of whether a defensive player touches him.

Poor old Cowboys. I love when the Cowboys lose the fans try and make excuses. And the fans were throwing things at the Ou staff. What losers. But it is over and now the jokes, excuse me the pokes are out of 6 million and a BCS berth. And now Ou could be heading to the sugar bowl! Great day for the Sooner Nation!

So where's the video? The angle I saw showed the OSU player on top of the OU player. I didn't see an *** on the ground with possession. It was stripped as he was rolling off the guy from the angle I saw.

Cowboy fan speaking. I've said it once, I'll say it again. The prevent defense is the worse defense in football.

And, the officiating really did suck. Both ways. In the third quarter, OU had a clear first down but didn't get the call. On the other hand, OU got away with a bunch of interference calls. And, of course, there was the interception that wasn't.

Best team lost. OU did what it took. By the way, you guys bragging about your 4th teamers winning the game need to slow down a little. You'll make our 3rd team quarterback feel bad.

I don't think it's just your 3rd team QB that feels bad right now.

I am an Oklahoma deviant. That's anybody in OK who likes *** better than football.

However, I saw the two plays mentioned above by cjtulsa, and agree with him. The worst of the two was the catch in the endzone, but the interception was also a bad call in my opinion.

I am an OU graduate with close ties to lots of OSU folks. One of my relatives used to travel with the OU team. He told me today of some very bad behavior on the part of OSU folks in years past. It was disappoing to hear about such poor sportsmanship by members of formal support groups.

I'll see you Wikipedia reference (LOL) and raise you the NCAA rule book:
