They buried a friend of 40+ ... actually nearly 50 ... years today. We'd been as close as brothers at one time then as life progressed we'd gone different directions over the years. We saw each other occasionally always parting with a "we need to get together someday."
I heard he was in the hospital three days before he died. Went to see him a few times but I'm not sure he knew who I was or even that I was there - although I'd like to think he did. If you need to do something with someone do it - don't put it off for "someday".
