Here's one I've never seen before today... A black and yellow garden spider. No real threat to people other than it looks pretty scary...like most spiders do. Very beneficial to have around, though, because they eat lots of pesky insects.

I have one of those outside my front door. I feed it grasshoppers. Don't know if it's male or female, I kinda want to call it Charlotte.
