Ole Gentner got the cop vote when he runs for governor- I don't care what the law is- what the policy is- what your training is- when a young punk like that gets off slamming some old man on the hard surface and causing brain bleed- it's just not right.
He's not off the hook by far. There are top end lawyers lined up for this old man's case. I can promise you. And it will be a short trial and payday for the old man's family and the attorneys.

The old man was a tad out of line at best.
He barely spoke English, let alone understood the concept of the situation he was in. Not defending him over that but I think there should have been some definite consideration by the officer...unless he was too roided up to do so.
This is far from over for the cop or Drummand and I'm glad.
Roided up? Making assumptions now.

don’t think it was a language barrier, I believe it was an “I want to argue like a child and throw a tantrum” issue.

Just my opinion

You're aware Oklahoma doesn't have recall election provisions right ?

I am going to assume you're not a native of the state based on this statement above
You would be right. I'm jetsam that landed here after 2

I'm thinking dementia, myself. Guy's old and broken down pretty bad before he met that cop.

Didn't say they wouldn't pay it, or they wouldn't cover it. I was just stating that anything over the $100k in settlement would require council approval and that there is no "insurance" as in there is no underwriter.
There is no underwriter? I'm fairly certain that the taxpayers are the underwriters. They just don't quite get that all the time.

Do you treat the checker at WalMart or the grocery store with the same respect you supposedly show cops?
We both know the answer to that question.

TRT and other things are commonly used these days. Could explain the sudden extreme aggression causing life threatening injuries to the old man.

Not assuming anything, ive been around many young punks on roids and this is exactly how they act. Like the 3 that put officer perry in a wheelchair for the rest of his short life.
Reading comprehensions isnt your strong suit and that isnt an assumption either.
All I need to know about you.
Don't bother to reply, I won't see it.

Given I was right from the beginning that the cop wouldn't be charged, I will go so far as to wager Drummond has a better than average chance being elected Governor if he decides to run. This won't hurt his chances even a little bit, the only places it will lessen his standing would be the same counties (Oklahoma, Cleveland, Tulsa) Joy Hoffmeister won when she ran .

I will bet you a cup of coffee on it if he runs
Except he was charged. It took the AG butting in to drop that charge.

I said it before ... most people's dad would have known better. The law was correctly applied by the AG in this case. The city of OKC can and should fire this young man as he probably shouldn't be a cop but the law is still the law.
The internal affairs report that was used in the probable cause affadavit disagrees with you.
