Didn't say they wouldn't pay it, or they wouldn't cover it. I was just stating that anything over the $100k in settlement would require council approval and that there is no "insurance" as in there is no underwriter.
I was just stating that the medical bills Mr. Vu has incurred will be over(substantially) the $100k mark.

I said earlier in this thread that I’ve worked with asians, and the ones I know are great people but don’t have the same mindset as americans. The cop obviously can’t read a situation and let his temper control him, and in my opinion, a guy that overreacts like that is 100% in the wrong line of work being a cop. Now the wannabe governor has green lighted cops behaving badly, and I don’t think this isn’t going to end well for the cop or governor wannabe.

If the old man had legitimately laid hands on the cop, I’d agree that force was warranted, but the “touch” (and that’s all it was) absolutely didn’t warrant throwing the guy to the ground. There was nothing about that situation that couldn’t wait for back up or a translator, and THAT is why I say the guy royally F’ed up and should go to the pen.
Race be damned. This is America. We follow the same rules (well we should)

I guess it’s because I grew up around so many law enforcement officers I just always knew this was a huge no no to disrespect, touching or act like an ****** during a traffic stop

Do you treat the checker at WalMart or the grocery store with the same respect you supposedly show cops?

Hope the old man learns from this too.

I agree that both were wrong but I can’t see acting like a childish ****** during a traffic stop

I can agree with this and said the same the officer over reacted but the old man messed up from word go people here were so ready to crucify a cop they couldn't see anything about the legalities of it and I am glad the charges were dismissed.

A little impulse control on the behalf of the old man would have went a long way to there not being a problem to start with .

Hello officer , yes officer, no officer , thank you officer and have a nice day officer . That and taking the time to learn English which is a requirement to be granted citizenship I might add.
