OKC Rifle Match---June 20th

We will recognize high junior (actually we will try to recognize all juniors). We really need a way for kids to get into or at least exposed to action shooting an this allows them to experience it on the cheap. Sign up the morning of the match at 9:00 at the Oklahoma City Gun Club's action shooting range on Hiawasee (okcgunclub.org for map)

Bring 250 rounds and get ready for some fun.

Hello, what ranges are the "long distance" shots going to be?

For centerfire or "tactical" it will be 300 yards. For rimfire, it will be 100 yards.

No handgun or shotgun. Straight rifle only.

Round count should be in the 140-170 range.

Dang! I was getting all excited reading about this shoot and using my Rem 597 until I realized that I am getting a tattoo on my leg five days before the match.

hmmmm.... Never been to a rifle match before. Could I make it with a sore leg or does this involve running long distances and flopping around in the mud?

You will be fine. There will be movement, but no quarter mile sprints or anything like that. If you can't run, it won't hurt your score that much, plus it is all about the shooting anyway.
