I'm betting that there's another side to this story. If the Feds come after you, they have lots of tools at their disposal. The tax code--and its complexity--has proven to be an effective one.

I realized that about 2008-2009, and have been laying low since. My taxes are complicated enough as it is... an audit would be a big time sink and a great punitive measure.

A liberal coworker at the time was positive that the IRS would never be used for politically motivated attacks. When the Tea Party/IRS crap came up, I sent it to him and told him libs might be on the receiving end of it for the next go around.

I too think Doug is a nice guy...but at some point he gets to share some of the blame and responsibility. He owned up to this one, so I'm not going to blame the .gov.

I'd hadn't heard about him suing the gun club....
