I've been noticing more OK sheriff patrol cars stopping people on route 66 past Arcadia lately, then yesterday, 4 sherrif's cars on I-40 stopping people out towards Harrah-Newall rd around 12:00pm and they they were still hard at work when I was coming back arournd 4:00pm. Also, been noticing them on I-40 arond Rockwell when I have passed by the weekends, in the past it's been OKC police. I just wonder why the sherrif's department is taking over this area, seems like it would be bad for re-election chances.

I dunno ... Bethany has taken to having officers standing on a street corner (specifically NW 23rd and Council), eye-spying cars that come through the intersection with drivers not wearing their seatbelts. The officer standing on the corner radios an officer sitting in a parked unit and off they go to write the ticket.

I have learned a long time ago to ALWAYS wear my seatbelt and to NEVER speed.

I haven't had a ticket in over 20 years.

I agree. Most of them should do some real police work.

Well, I'm gonna disagree with this one just a wee bit. There is one intersection in North OKC that really needs someone to "tag" a few drivers. When the Chesapeake folks get off and head over toward the Broadway Extension, they tend to block the intersection for folks on the opposite street because the line in front of them doesn't move.

Either they need to synchronize the lights or park a cruiser there and start issuing tickets right on the spot. There have been times that when the light changed for the "opposite" street (meaning cross street) we still couldn't go because the overpaid and overeducated idiots on their cell phones couldn't demonstrate any common sense.

Heh....

....did I leave out any nonsense stuff that drivers do?
