Bandits who claimed they were on a crime investigators task force robbed a man at his home Tuesday afternoon.
The men stolen an unspecified number of guns from the victim at a home in the 10900 block of East 28th Place, Officer Leland Ashley said.
Ashley said that the Tulsa Police Department does not have a unit by that name and the robbers appeared to be impersonating law enforcement officers. Actual undercover officers would always commission cards that they could show someone is asked, he said.
The two robbers approached the man in his garage about 2 p.m., Ashley said.
One man wearing a blue baseball cap with the word police on the front. He also had what appeared to be a badge on his belt
