Well, there goes my only reason to go to the fair. I used to take $40, get a turkey leg and a beer. Go look at livestock. Get another beer, go look through the exhibition halls real quick, grab another beer and a chocolate dipped cheesecake or a funnel cake, people watch, and then leave. Never went at night or even after 4pm.
But now $18 for just a leg? No thanks. I’ll just go to KFC for some chicken and grab a six pack before I go down the street to watch some guys longhorns eat and crap on the other side of the fence.
Wonder how many turkey legs and beer were dropped in the fracas?

I won't go to the fair unless and until I can get myself a scooter. Unfortunately, I'm limited in how far I can walk any more. Except when I know exactly where I'm going in my nearby Neighborhood Market, I always use a mart cart now.
I echo all the same sentiments voiced here. Screw the fair. Just a waste of time and money, not to mention a safety hazard.
