Profane swearing consists in any use of the name of God, or Jesus Christ, or the Holy Ghost, either in imprecating divine vengeance upon the utterer, or any other person, or in light, trifling or irreverent speech.

Every person guilty of profane swearing is punishable by a fine of One Dollar ($1.00) for each offense.

Consider that this was put into effect in 1910 and that $1.00 fine has quite a bit more sting to it...

Yep!

I've been tempted to call this into action on occasion. I don't normally let people's language bother me, but if I'm eating a meal at a dine-in restaurant and someone close by is swearing up a storm, it gets old very fast.

The military was your choice. Before joining you should have considered that you could be stationed in a place that does not share your values and lifestyle.
