his S&W barrel was not blued - so it cleaned up so you couldn't tell it had been fixed --- did you run a patch down the bore to see if you could detect the bulge? it should be obvious when you hit it

It’s a Huntsman. Pre-Woodsman.

The Huntsman began at S/N 90001-C in July of 1955.

So here’s a “modern” Woodsman Match Target from 1975…

….and a Huntsman from 1973.

The Woodsman Match Target is heralded as one of the most accurate .22LR ever produced. Factory Elliason rear sight and patridge front sight.

These two examples are NIB specimens….not bad for 51 years old.

While the gun the OP posted looks like a Huntsman….and my 1973 Huntsman, it is in fact is a pre-war Woodsman.

I asked the owner of the pistol to tell me what it says on the barrel and he said it's a model 1903 woodsman made in 1918.

1918 S/N’s range from 6400 to 6999. Also, a model 1903 is a Pocket Hammerless in .32ACP.

@Snake Plisken, after reviewing your FOR SALE ad on this piece, 10485 is a 1916 Target Woodsman. Having the S/N would have made things easier. . You can review the S/N listings above….which are WAY more accurate than Colt’s S/N lookup.

One thing to note that I haven't seen mentioned. If you normally shoot guns with 1911 grip angle, it is hard to go back and forth if you shoot both often, especially if you are trying to do them instinctively.
I have a P08 Luger and a High Standard. Every time I shoot either very much, when I go back to my usual guns, I always instinctively shoot way high. As a result, I hardly shoot them anymore. I opted for a vintage S&W 41 which is more accurate than my eyes anymore.
