I really enjoy seeing old, beat up items brought back to life. Super cool to see antiques, cars, guns, etc. restored to usable or serviceable condition.

Not very good at it, but I like living vicariously through the work of others. I lack knowledge, tools, patience and storage areas so be good, but I certainly like laying eyes on these things.

I've made several standing lamps out of old shotguns,,,
There was a gun shop in Sapulpa (20 years ago) who called me every time they got one in.

I remember the average price for me was $10.00/15.00,,,
I paid $20.00 one time for a very pretty double-barrel.

To decommission them I would remove or break off the firing pin,,,
Then pour a few tablespoons of molten solder in the action,,,
I also welded the barrel to the breech/action.

I was typically getting around $125 for them at flea markets.

Spent the morning shooting with a buddy and his small kids. Out of all of the tacticool 22's, GSG's, AR22's, this and an M1 22 Carbine, they really liked this restored beater the best. Longest sight picture I suppose. It shot way better than my relatively new Marlin 60. 1200 rnds, one FTE. Might have to keep this one for myself and give my newer Marlin to a nephew this xmas.
