My understanding of the laws is it's ok. I want to carry at Cedar Lake in Heavener and it's Fed land. Am I wrong?
I suspect it depends on the managing Agency.
Recent laws have been passed to allow Concealed carry in National Parks, etc. I don't think open carry is an option though.
I thought it was supposed to be based on the state laws where the park or whatever was located.
They are all different. Use your google. Here's the skinny on National Park Service Land. BLM land may be different. I'll let you search that one.

Mammoth Cave National Park in KY allows open carry, but not on tours or busses.
It varies by specific park, and in some cases where the park is in more than one state, by specific part of the park. Buildings are usually posted.
I prefer not to carry open in parks even where allowed, just because I don't want to be a center of attention.
