Those older Rugers are awesome. I still kick myself for cutting loose a tang-safety M77 30/06. Never hunted with it myself, but a buddy borrowed it and killed two elk with it.

That's why I use the 510gr soft points and not the 500gr soft points....

Prob the only person on the planet today who doubled with a 45-70 sxs and a 3 screw Ruger 41 mag lol. Gun season over for me until the bonus. Big does too. Wasn't able to recover any bullets, both were pass throughs. The 4570 was a 405gr sp going only 1100 fps.

Not to hijack or drift the thread, but is that a russian Baikal?
I'm wanting a SxS, only in 500 S&W. (an affordable SxS).
IIRC, Bailkas came in .30-06 and .45-70, and were around $500??? (at one time)
I'm curious where (what distance) barrels are regulated at?
IIRC, some Baikal's came with an adjustment?
