1st of all I have to thank @bigred1, he was kind enough to let me be the caretaker of this Marlin 35 Remington and @retrieverman for being the middleman 😁.

I knew where a bunch of deer were bedding during the day so I stalked into the canyon where they should be, bumped them once and kept on stalking. Finally saw a few through the brush and after about ten minutes this ol gal came in from the right at about 70-75 yards.

Got the 35 on her and then she was kind enough to get out of the canyon and brush on her own and I was able to drive up to her after a long walk back to the truck. Retrieverman was kind enough to offer to call either the ambulance or a Hearst for me cause I’m a little out of shape. 😁

That’s the exit, at the time I didn’t realize she was quartering that hard towards me.

This was the second time this week I thought I was going to have to call 911 for an out of shape hunter in distress. @kwaynem on Sunday and @hunter966 today.
I honestly thought the deer might’ve got back up and was chasing @hunter966 with all the panting and heavy breathing on his end of the phone.🤣

Very nice! If I was gonna' own a lever gun, that would be it. Marlin 336 in .35 Remington! Classic!
