My parents brought me a tourist ulu back from Alaska in the 80’s, and at some point, I picked up a Knives of Alaska magnum ulu and have cleaned A BUNCH of deer with it. I’m really interested to see the one you have coming, because I might just need a custom one too. :thumb:
I watch about every show on YouTube of Coyboy Kent Rollings cooking show. He uses an Ulu knife a lot.

And the hits just keep on coming....

....the wife tested positive for Covid last night and has been prescribed the same medicine that I'm taking. So, it looks like we get a week or more of "vacation" from our Summer job. I'm much better after taking my dosages, so I expect her to get to feeling better as well. We just have to wait for her to get to a pharmacy, likely at Walmart.

What a beautiful morning…I believe I am ready for Fall.

On a more serious note, for many of us this day brings back difficult memories. All of our lives were changed that day.
Really good documentary series on last night. Don’t know if it was the history channel or discovery. I was just flipping through and found it. It was hour long segments and we watched 3. Sad day in history.

I’m definitely ready for fall temps to get here to stay. It was 63 here yesterday morning and 70 today.

Terry, I hate to hear about your wife and hope she recovers quickly.

I’ll never forget where I was when I heard the twin towers had been hit. I was on a local job but was supposed to be going two hours away for another job. I was really torn whether to leave town or not, and I ended up going. It was a crazy and sad day for this country.

Thanks, All. Both of us are really in pretty good shape. She bought some of the Covid test kits at Walmart the other day and tested herself. She was good that day, but tested positive the next day. Overall, we don't feel bad other than maybe a sore throat or headache. In my case, I think the headache was a combination of the Covid AND not having coffee for something like 24 hours. (Lack of caffeine can cause headaches, which is why I'm fixing to get my morning coffee.)

We both got Covid in August of 2021 while working our jobs in Alabama, and while we were both coughing pretty good, the Monoclonal Antibody Infusion treatments we got put us on a recovery pretty quickly. After the infusions, we felt good enough to go back to work, but we abided by the then normal 14 day quarantine period.

Wife was out helping our son paint part of his garage yesterday morning and is now talking about going out with him again this morning to do some more painting.

Today is 9/11 and that reminds me of 9/11/2001! I had worked a graveyard shift at Sun Refinery, it Tulsa, and was in the bed asleep. My wife had gone to the grocery store and everyone there was talking about what had just happened. When she got home she woke me up and said, we are being attacked!! Talk about a rude awakening! That must have been what it was like for Americans in 1941, when they learned of Pearl Harbor? In my old age I spend a lot more time thinking, and a lot less time actually doing things. I can't help but wonder what, and when, the next 9/11, or Pearl Harbor will be, and if I will be around to see it!? At least in 1941 we had a clear enemy, and direction, and that brought the whole country togather as they haven't been before, or sense! And that, at least was one good thing that came out of that terrible event! The 9/11 attack was not so simple! It united our country for abouit 30 minutes, before the lap dog news media, and crooked politicians, started tearing us apart again! Instant, overwhelming, communications have many good effects, I guess, but we are allowing that to control what we are ALLOWED to think, far too much, in my opinion! Have a good day! At my age, any day I wake up, is automaticly a good day!!

While 9/11 will always have the terrible meaning, September 11 has a much more pleasant and endearing meaning to me. It was the evening of September 11, 1965 that I first met the awesome girl that was to become my wife. It still amazes me that it has been 57 years since then, with almost 54 years of marriage. (Married in December of 1968.)

Her birthday is two days from today, so I pray that I can remember to wish her a happy birthday that morning.
