I seem to remember discussing garbage disposal replacement a little while back --- well, it was my turn today. The KitchenAid 3/4hp lasted 16 1/2 years before it sprang an internal leak that became an external leak. Replaced it with a Moen 3/4hp that is much quieter than the previous one. And yes, I did utilize the floor jack hack.

Just glad that I don't have to do this kind of stuff all day.

Wet all day today so decided it was brush pile burning time.
Took a bit to get it started as wet as it was, but it's burned down pretty much now.

if you went to the OKC Vet hospital for your appointment, I have nothing but good to say about that facility.
We read about a lot of negative comments regarding veterans health care in the news negatively, but that facility is not one of them IMHO and for the record, 99% of my health care is through that facility.
Same positive sentiments from me as well. The OKC Vet Hospital staff have gone over and above to ensure I'm around long enough to be an embarrassment for my kids/gkids/ggkids 🤣🤣

My Dad goes there often and we are also very impressed by everything that they do.

After I got out of the deer stand this morning, I got motivated to take up the rest of the old hot wire along the dry river. It’s been there since 2006 or 2007, and with years of johnson grass and saplings grown up in it, I figured it was going to be a bigger headache than it was. I still have a few t posts that are going to have to be pulled up with a tractor, but I feel like I accomplished something today.

I don't know how many of you have visited Breckenridge Arms & Supply, but I mentioned earlier that the owner, Dewayne Harvey, passed away this week. If any are so inclined, the funeral for Dewayne will be Thursday, November 3rd, at 10:00AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Enid. Dewayne enlisted in the Army right after high school and served his country in VietNam. He flew as a corporate pilot for Groendyke Transport for thirty years. He opened the gunshop as a sideline in 1986. The shop will be closed the day of the funeral but, otherwise, will remain open during normal hours ... at least for now. Please keep his son, Chad, and grandson, Liam, in your prayers.

Here, but occasionally There.
We took a day trip to Wyoming and saw these today.

Well, the Mountain Goats were seen on the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway. (Highway 14A going south from Spearfish.)

It's kind of hard to see, but if one looks in the center of this photo, one can see the remnants of a ladder used by two ranchers in Wyoming that created it to climb the Tower back in the 1890's. After the National Park Service became responsible for the park, they removed the lower 100 to 150 feet of the ladder to keep other people from trying to climb the tower that way.

I was able to pick out the ladder from about three places along the 1.6 mile Tower Trail as we walked it today.

Yep, but I try to go to sleep the previous night with great hope!!
Every morning before opening my eyes, I spread my arms to the side and over my head as far as I can.
If I don't feel plastic, I know I'm not in a body bag and it's a good time to get up to start the day!
Back to the farm today to work on the fish feeder in the new pond and some other chores.
Found the feeder needed a 12V battery vs the 6V I brought along, so another trip is coming.
It's 45 miles one way but I love being out there all by myself just doing things.
Needed some of the barbed wire @retrieverman had in the back of his truck to keep the cows off the fish feeder. They like to rub on things.
