Wife and I ran down to NW side of DFW yesterday for her friend's birthday and met them at a "little BBQ shack" (per his description). Dang good food. Her friend's 16yo daughter had a "psychotic break" last week after trying some kind of weed vape pen; they're thinking it was tampered/laced with something besides THC, possibly LSD. Everyone is hoping she recovers soon, but the effects are possibly permanent.

So sorry to hear that, Clint. Here's hoping she makes a full recovery and, not to be callous, learns a very valuable lesson.

BTW - Is that Marty B's straight south of Denton? We were just down that way a few months ago, and wish we'd know about it then!

I understand the lesson part, think the same myself. And yes, its just south of 35E/W split on east side of 35W a couple miles maybe, on FM 407

Glad its Thursday! One more day and I get to help out with a "fun day" with our youth outdoors charity. A local ranch is hosting them, and they will be fishing in a stocked trout pond, shooting 22's and doing archery. Think we're supposed to have around 10 kids coming in, should be a good time!

Warm and sunny this morning, thunderstorms and hail this afternoon, winter is back this evening. I’m ready for spring to stick around longer than a few hours.

Got news about a landowner this morning that lives about 5 miles from me. I don’t know him, but I know of him. He’s an older guy that’s been around here for about 50 years. He was arrested for starving his livestock (longhorn cattle and horses). It made me extremely angry to hear about this, and it makes no sense. Several of the animals were found dead in his pasture. I noticed a few months ago that the pasture was overgrazed, but there was plenty of hay that had been put out. Apparently, he lost interest in the animals, and he just wanted the horns from the longhorn. From what I’ve been told, there was plenty of hay still sitting by the barn, but he just simply quit feeding them. People like this make me sick! If I had seen the starving animals, I would have offered to buy them. It’s a truly unbelievable disgusting story.
