Have you noticed that the main thing we all can comment on, concerns good restaurants…..do you suppose we need an intervention?

Nah, it keeps us from talking about the bad ones.

I've got a small group of friends that we go as a group to a restaurant that none of us has tried at least once a month. Almost all of them have been surprisingly good!

I used to love eating out, but I have been disappoint with the price to food quality ratio at every place I’ve been in the last few years. I don’t mind paying for good food, but I refuse to pay a premium price for mediocre food.

Eaten there several times but the name fails me. One of the first restaurants on the south side of the street.

Must be a different place. Los Potros is supposedly on the north side of the highway. Never been there, but I was trying to pinpoint the place you and Dennis are talking about. I would make a road trip for good Mexican food! :rubhands:

Would that be Los Potros???
That’s correct. It is on the North side of Highway 11.

Ditto, sir ... I'd rather just cook. That way I don't have to fool with getting out of my fuzzy house shoes and pjs. And I'm turning into a cheapskate -- it kills me to pay $50-60 and leave all my steak on the plate, except for that first bite that tastes like sandpaper. :disappoin

We ate at an old time Mexican place in Tulsa today that was straight out of a can that came from a grocery store. The Salsa was straight tomato sauce from a can. They couldn't even supply me some Siracha to spice it up so it was edible.
Our orders of enchiladas, and rellenos plus a chalupa for me and something else for the wife came out in about three minutes. The beef on the chalupa was not fresh.
They don't scrimp on the cheese to cover up the taste of the old food that was made days ago.
I won't ever go back. Said they had been in business since 1975. I don't see how.
