Yesterday turned out to be a good day considering the drive to OKC shopping for a new washer & dryer. Other than nobody keeps much in stock anymore but you can order it and we will deliver for a fee. Finally found a set in stock in the color and options my wife wanted. Saved $500 over what we would have paid locally on a smaller less options models. Got to eat a nice lunch in the process.
Enjoyed the day with my wife even, we don't get to do that very often with our work schedules. The best part is by the time we got back home late last night we had a new W/D set and was $1k richer after deducting the cost of said W/D set. My wife is the luckiest person I ever seen. Stopped at casino on the way back and gave her $300 bucks. Jokingly told her to go win back what we paid for W/D set. Well, she did plus $1k and my $300 back.

If I known she was gonna do that I would have picked up that Henry I seen at H&H while I was there.
if it was me, pretty sure I could convince wife I am still getting Henry.

I could.have bought it if I wanted, just wasn't the specific Henry I'm looking for. Same caliber but not what I've been wanting, even though it has got me rethinking my decision. I'm still looking for the specific model I have wanted just can't run across one in stock

I spend the morning burying some debris and leveling out some dirt piles with the skid steer for the school I’ve been working for, and now the maintenance crew will be able to keep the lot mowed.
It was 109* under my porch here this afternoon with a pretty stiff wind, and I spent some time of the tractor hauling downed limbs to brush piles around my place.
My nephew’s birthday party was this evening, and the tools and Legos were a big hit.

Here, but occasionally There.
Yes it's odd to me to me to. We had a heck of a time finding some in stock. They may have 30 models on the floor with only 2 in stock or they have the washer and no matching dryer. Relying on shipping for everything is in my thinking a disaster waiting to happen. Then the shipping dates don't coincide with your schedule, " OK, what time will they be there? " "Sometime that day is all I can say" . So one of you have to take off all day to be there, nope not happening,

As for appliances, check out Hahn's on Reno in OKC. We've purchased some stuff from them, the last of which was a compact washing machine for our RV. They even installed the machine in the cabinet for the washer/dryer.

We didn't like the people at Hahn's up near Edmond as they weren't very friendly.

That was my first go to, I purchased a wall mount double oven from them last year. Sadly they were out of stock for what the wife wanted. We finally found what she wanted and I already installed
It Sunday. Will be going back to Hahn's sometime for a new counter top range she seen.

Being it's as hot as it is there is not a lot of stimulus to get this retired 71 year old fart out of the AC and Lazyboy. However, I do try to accomplish at least one task every morning before setteling in under the AC. Yesterday it was check zero on my crossbow. This morning was get under the F150 and change the oil & filter. No telling what it will be tomorrow. I usually have several tasks queued up and choose one.

Man I'm tired of this weather. Got another 4 pints of tomatoes stewed and in the freezer. Off of 2 plants I got enough tomatoes for us to eat as many as we wanted plus 23 pints (more or less) stewed up and tossed in Ziploc bags to freeze. I think with 5 plants I can actually can enough to last us 12-18 months.

I'm gonna try the growing tomatoes all year long thing from MEN and BHG articles that @HillsideDesolate and @okierider posted over in the Prepper Section.

I really need to get out in the garden and get some stuff planted for my fall garden but I'm just not feeling it with this heat. Even Dawg wants to go back inside after 5, 10 minutes out there. 😖😖😖
