Man I'm tired of this weather. Got another 4 pints of tomatoes stewed and in the freezer. Off of 2 plants I got enough tomatoes for us to eat as many as we wanted plus 23 pints (more or less) stewed up and tossed in Ziploc bags to freeze. I think with 5 plants I can actually can enough to last us 12-18 months.

I'm gonna try the growing tomatoes all year long thing from MEN and BHG articles that @HillsideDesolate and @okierider posted over in the Prepper Section.

I really need to get out in the garden and get some stuff planted for my fall garden but I'm just not feeling it with this heat. Even Dawg wants to go back inside after 5, 10 minutes out there. 😖😖😖
Have been reworking my indoor grow area getting ready for planting, new shelving and more lights plus insulation. As for fall garden not sure it is cool enough with this extreme heat lately. Does not matter, I ain't doing it til it stops this crap LOL. Get enough hot at work.

Dawg isn't alone. Driving the roads here in north Texas, we pass a lot of pastures with cattle either lying down in the shade of a tree or standing belly deep in a pond. The other day, we were up in an area with a lot of wind farms. Cattle there were even standing in the shade of the wind towers.

Just finished hour and half on the tractor with brush hog. Time to come in and get some AC before it gets really hot. Can probably finish the 2 acres of creek bottom tomorrow morning. This the first time this year it has been dry enough to knock down. Sorry to have spooked up a fawn from its hiding spot but there are plenty of other spots.

I looked 30 years younger today…kind of. After I spent some time this morning working up a good sweat while driving an 8 foot ground rod into the ground, I spent the rest of the day on an open cab tractor doing some dirt work. On the way back home, I looked in the rear view mirror, and I had all brown hair again. All the gray hair had magically disappeared. Unfortunately after I showered, the gray was back.

I ain't in no mood to have a hole poked in me this morning but the fairly new VA clinic here in town called late last week and said that they want my yearly blood and pee samples and I've got to be there in about 30 minutes......Academy is close so afterwards I'll go window shop the gun counter. :)

This is a pictorial representation of how I feel about what's going on in our country these days on several levels
