Hunt of a Lifetime. man lucky guy!My son and his then girlfriend now wife only came up to hunt once in October last year and have been planning to hunt the whole first week of archery season this year, but he called today and has been invited on a moose hunt to British Columbia which will eat up his vacation time. Of course, I told him he should go on what will probably be a once in a lifetime moose hunt.
I’ll be honest though. Had I known last week that he may not be coming to hunt this year, I probably wouldn’t have done as much work as I did. I like to deer hunt, but I’m really starting to question if what I do and spend up there is really worth it for me to kill one buck a year.

Just a tip for such occurrences on the road. Unless the hole is large, a couple of tablespoons of black pepper dumped in the radiator will plug that leak. Temporarily! Enough to get to home or a service center, anyway. And it flushes out easily when you do the repairs yourself. I've known a few folks who just ran with it, but don't recommend that.Dodged another bullet on Monday. My daughter stayed with her friend and her family over the long weekend and hung out at the lake with them. She got home around 7:30 Monday evening, and started unloading her stuff.
Second trip in, she says her truck is "leaking". I asked if she had A/C on, of course she did. I walk outside and see a growing puddle under front drivers corner, definitley not a/c. Found a hole in radiator upon inspection. At least it happened there and not on the road!
I had the same kind of thing happen last year on my truck. Pulled in from half day trip to Weatherford, water pump starts dumping coolant. Driveway breakdowns are way better than roadside! Now to get it apart and replace her radiator...
You have a backhoe? Did a hole and bury it if you’re in the country. My next door neighbor on 3.5 acres dug a huge hole and buried an acre of trees, etc and after a while had a 40x60 shed built on top of it. Been waiting for it to sink into the ground but after 5-6 years so far so good.I’m trying to order in a dumpster, so I can clean out my old house and get it ready to sell. It took 3 days to finally get “a person” on the phone, and so far, none of the three people I’ve talked to knows their butt from a hole in the ground. This is a huge sanitation company, and I have no idea how they conduct their daily business with this level of inefficiency.
Yep, seen that done before, possibly even done it myselfJust a tip for such occurrences on the road. In my experience, the bigger companies are always more difficult to deal with. I use two different trash companies. One of them recently sold out to a large company, and it has been nothing but a hassle. I have three dumpsters with them, and they miss at least one almost every week. The other company is a good old boy company. They mail me a postcard bill every month, and I send them a check every month. They have never missed a pickup. The only downside to them is that you have to buy the dumpster.I’m trying to order in a dumpster, so I can clean out my old house and get it ready to sell.
