I dunno what I did but my back has been KILLING me the last couple of days. Bleh ...
I can hardly wait for next week and the cooler weather. Me and Dawg have big plans! Lol We're gonna plant some saffron bulbs. And I'd like to get the chicken coop cleaned out for winter. And scatter rabbit poo around the garden before I toss out the clover for my fall cover crop.
Plus I have a couple of quilts I NEED to do something with. Like finish. Lol I really haven't sewn much since I hurt myself and I'd like to try to start doing some painting again. Might be easier on my back than sitting at a sewing machine.

We would really welcome that cooler weather. In the 100+ heat here in north Texas, it is hard to keep the interior of the work van cool for the 4 computer servers in the back. We had the front fan motor go bad the other day, and in spite of the service people being 1 1/2 weeks out, they immediately checked it out and ordered in a new fan to get us going and try to keep two old folks reasonably comfortable. We really appreciated them doing that for us.
Wife says that we have completed 2/3 of our assigned miles or working. A lot of miles are put on just for getting from one "record" to the next at times. Yesterday was good because we spent part of it working I-30 and the access roads next to it in Hunt county.

I am guessing it was probably that d@mn tree limb that fell on you. I hope you are feeling better today.
You know I am ready for the cooler weather and hopefully some rain as well. The chicken poop and rabbit poop is great garden food, but you better let those neighbor boys do the shoveling!
Its just about to get nice weather for outdoor sitting/working or whatever outside. Do that quilting and painting when its hot as hell outside or cold as F outside. LOL

Was in a Zoom meeting from 9am to 6pm today. What a bunch of crap. I did turn my video off once and took my dogs to the groomer and another time went down a worked on my boat lights. Got all the colored interior lights installed and working great, Came back and no one ever knew I was gone. I love Zoom.
I did have my Iphone with me just in case I was called on but it never happened. Lol!!

I woke up to rain about 11 something last night and sat up listening to it until after 2. Ironically, there was no rain in the forecast when I went to bed, but wherever it came from, it was a pretty serious storm with high winds and hail. I just checked my gauge and had a little over an inch, and there is some more forecasted towards the middle of next week. Unfortunately, my pasture isn’t bouncing back very fast, but every little bit helps.

I'm ready for the rain and cooler weather. We are off to go visit Charlie Wells. When he was putting GED's night sights on Grumpy's gun last week I spotted a Mossberg I think I have to have. Didn't have my $$$s on me at the time so we are gonna run out and pick it up today. Getting a new gun never gets old! I'm kinda stoked.
